February 20, 2008: Oscar Time: There goes the neighborhood

While people are caring less and less about the Oscars, the Academy Awards are taking up more and more space. We are now inside a week from the Oscars and nearly my entire neighborhood is closed down. And for what?

Damn, they closed down all that? Franklin to Hawthorne, Orange to Wilcox? Wow! What the heck they using all that space for? All the party tents can't take up that many blocks, can they?


Roger doesn't sound like a proud Academy member ;)


A little eminent domain perpetrated upon the locals, huh? Just remember, it's "all about the work."

And, you know, the Bush-bashing. Last chance! Graduation night, if you will.
