February 24, 2008: Has there ever been a politician with comic timing anywhere near this good?
Live in New York on Saturday night it's... Mike Huckabee!
[I think it's his true calling.-ed. I'm thinking of writing a script for him right now. What about a 'road movie' for Huckabee and Dennis Kucinich? They could go to the moon together. I thought I was supposed to be the wiseacre around here!]

He really is a natural at this sort of thing.
I would not be surprised to see him turn into a sort of Dr.Phil/Oprah/Ellen kind of character.
I'd say that that was outright pathological, but neurotics aren't supposed to be able to see into their own psychoses. Did he really understand that it was a lampoon? And if he did, then he in effect acknowledged his buffoonery! Unbelievable. And people are actually voting for this guy!
Huckleberry has been standing in front of people preaching for years. He is comfortable there. It's a good skill and about the only one of his I admire.
Heh. I sent that link around among some of my friends, including some of the more moonbatty ones. Here's one response:
So the message to the world is, "we have a Global War on Terrorism, a barely-controlled civil war in Iraq, Afghanistan falling apart (again), a financial crisis that could well hit real estate so hard that it wipes out 25% of the personal wealth in the USA, the Constitution shredded by a bunch of megalomaniacs, and global warming just around the corner, and Americans are taking this election so seriously that one of the major party candidates is treating it as an SNL sketch."
