January 16, 2007: Oil-for-Food ... remember that?

Now that Kofi's out of office, there's finally been an indictment in NY and, no surprise, it's Benon Sevan, who is holing up on Cyprus where he is nearly certain to avoid extradition. Oh, well... Claudia Rosett, of course, has more - and, I'm told, will be following up as events break. [Someone should send her to Cyprus to track the varmint down.-ed. Who would that be? Not sayin'.]

UPDATE: Sorry about the bad link above - now fixed. Meanwhile, Claudia has tried to contact Sevan on Cyprus with predictable results.

Nah, post a bounty on his head, stipulate that we want this one very definitely alive. We want him to talk.

He might not be extraditable, but with a big enough price on his head, someone will free lance.

Thw wheels of justice turn slow, but eventually maybe not this week, maybe next year, the warrant will be served and Sevan will be hauled back to NYC to face his perp walk.

Then he will rat out Kofi.
